About the event
Tonight we honor the Yoruban Orisha Yemaya, Goddess of the Ocean, Star of the Sea, Mother of all the Fishes, in a ritual led by dragnfli, a Priestess of Yemaya for 32 years.
Please do the following:
1) Wear All White including a white head covering, this is to honor the Yoruban traditions and Yemaya. You may add accents of all shades of blues like scarves, jewelry, belts, shoes, bags, etc.
2) Please bring an offering to Yemaya - some watermelon, white or blue flowers, perfume, jewelry, Crown Royal, or other things (look up what she likes)
3) Bring 7 pennies, 7 nickles, 7 dimes OR 7 quarters as an offering to be put into our "Ocean" during ritual.
4) Bring a dish to share for the Feast to follow the Ritual - think Caribbean, South American, or African foods. Main or side dishes, desserts or drinks.
